Wapice is a certified AI 1000 Training Partner
A large-scale AI 1000 training programme, organised by the AI Finland network, is launching in Finland with the goal of creating 1,000 ambitious, growth-driven AI projects within a year.
The programme is designed for company executives – owners, board members and management teams – who need a clear understanding of the business opportunities enabled by AI and which types of investments are most likely to drive growth.
Wapice participates as one of the training partners. Our long-standing experience in delivering industrial AI and data solutions gives us a strong foundation for helping companies identify the use cases that can truly transform their business. Each year, we work with dozens of organisations on AI strategies, generative AI, machine learning, computer vision and IoT-based solutions – giving us a close-up view of which AI initiatives generate real value and which ones still require further maturation.
We bring this practical experience directly into the AI 1000 training: we support participants in conducting a realistic AI maturity assessment and in identifying 1–2 high-potential, feasible AI use cases that can act as engines for business growth.
The training consists of three phases:
- a 2-hour briefing on the business impact of AI
- a two-week interim assignment to observe potential use cases within the organisation
- a 4-hour workshop where the prioritised AI ideas are refined into concrete next steps
The content of the training package has been developed by Finland’s leading AI experts together with AI Finland, and it is delivered to all companies in a uniform, vendor-neutral format.

The AI 1000 training provides a clear structure for this. Our role is to help executive teams find those use cases where data, technology and business goals naturally align. For many organisations, the first ‘low-hanging fruits’ are surprisingly close at hand,” says Veli-Pekka Salo, Head of AI, Analytics and Automation at Wapice.
Funding opportunities available
AI 1000 comes with several funding instruments offered by Technology Industries of Finland, enabling companies to continue developing their ideas, define an AI strategy or initiate proof-of-concept projects. The opportunities include, for example, a fully funded ideation phase, a 50% funded preliminary study, and seed funding for development projects.
