Finlandia Hall, Helsinki
IFME 2026 – World Congress on Municipal Engineering
09.06.2026 – 11.06.2026
Wapice will be part of the IFME 2026 World Congress on Municipal Engineering in Helsinki.
The event brings together municipal engineers, public works professionals, infrastructure experts and city decision-makers to discuss the future of urban and municipal engineering – from sustainability and climate resilience to smart city development.
This year, Wapice will contribute to the main programme with a presentation by Jari Kuusisto, Director of Smart City Business at Wapice.
From smart city pilots to everyday impact
Jari’s presentation, “From Smart City Pilots to Everyday Impact: How Cities Can Turn Existing Infrastructure into Reusable Digital Services,” will focus on a practical question many cities are now facing:
How can existing urban infrastructure, data and ecosystems be turned into services that create measurable value in everyday city operations?
The presentation will explore how cities can move beyond individual smart city pilots and build reusable digital services with IoT, AI, ready-made applications and ecosystem collaboration.
