The new IoT platform of the City of Tampere has been implemented, the first use cases are ready

The new system can, for example, intelligently control the city’s lighting and better monitor and anticipate road network wear.
At the beginning of the year, Wapice and the City of Tampere agreed on the implementation of an IoT platform, and now the project has progressed to the first use cases.
The co-operation between Wapice and the City of Tampere aims to grow and develop the platform throughout the 10-year contract period. The goal is for the city’s employees and citizens to be actively involved in the ideation and development of new use cases – even at a very concrete level.
